Windproof Gypsum Board Norgips GU-X9 – a 9.5 mm thick board consisting of an impregnated gypsum core protected on both sides by cardboard. The red side of the board is additionally treated with wax, making the surface water-repellent. Designed for sealing, reinforcing, and protecting external walls against wind, as well as for use in roofing underlays. Suitable as wind protection for insulated roofs

Usage

⇒ GU-X9 is a second-generation windproof board consisting of an impregnated gypsum core protected by a layer of cardboard on both the front and back sides

⇒ GU-X9 has been developed and adapted specifically for Nordic building traditions and climate, with the board able to withstand exposure to weather for up to six months

⇒ Maximum application temperature is 50°C

⇒ UV-resistant windproof tape (vapour-tight tape with strong adhesive properties) is used for sealing board joints and penetrations

⇒ Under normal conditions, no microbial growth occurs on the board surface

Gypsum board dimensions: Width 1200 mm, length 3000 mm, thickness 9.5 mm

Colour: Bordeaux red cardboard

Verified Nordic quality: The board has been tested and certified by SINTEF

Cutting: The gypsum board is easy to cut to size

⇒ Cut the paper surface on one side along a straight line using a utility knife

⇒ Snap the gypsum board along the cut line

⇒ Cut through the paper on the opposite side

Storage: Boards should be stored on a flat surface, preferably on a pallet. Protect the boards from moisture

On-site transport: Gypsum boards should be carried so that the cut edge is vertical

Edges: The longer straight edge of the gypsum board is covered with cardboard, and the shorter edge is cut straight

Quantity per pallet: 42 gypsum boards, total area 151.2 m², total weight approx. 1089 kg
