Electrical fire protection – the fire protection socket of electrical boxes is attached to the wall frame using a casing sheet to increase the fire safety of electrical connections. The fire resistance class corresponds to 2x the fire class of hard plaster. Product dimensions and material selection according to wishes
Properties. The product protects the fire safety of electrical installations (switches, plugs, etc. connections) in the wall. The product has similar properties as drywall
Usage. The product is intended for use in rooms with a relative humidity of no more than 70%. The maximum installation temperature is 50°C. Normal room temperature is recommended for installation
Installation
⇒ The corresponding technical solutions have been provided by the construction project developer for installation on construction sites
⇒ The product’s sheet metal “ears” are screwed to the wooden or metal frame with a minimum of 4 screws. If the shape of the product and the profile of the nearby surface allow it, the product can be properly attached to it
⇒ It is recommended to use either wooden material or a metal frame to connect products to each other
Fixing. The product screwing requirements are described in the installation instructions for plasterboards and plasterboard frames
Cutting. It is not recommended to cut the product – this reduces fire resistance. If cutting is unavoidable, the joints formed after cutting must be filled with fireproof sealant
Finishing. The edges of the product can be covered with fireproof sealant in places where it comes into contact with the plasterboard
Fire protection. The product contains a double-layer fire protection from all directions (except for the surface of the niche, which is protected by the wall). Of the plaster materials, a 2x15mm layer of fireproof plaster provides 60 minutes of protection from open fire. The use of special plasters increases the protection up to 40 minutes. 2×12.5 hard plaster provides fire protection for 24 minutes and 2×12.5mm fireproof plaster for 30 minutes, which is generally considered sufficient.
Storage. Products should be stored on a smooth surface, preferably on a pallet. Protect products from moisture
Transportation on the construction site
⇒ Protective gloves must be used when transporting the product. Tin surfaces can cause injuries.
⇒ If there is a risk that the product will be damaged during transport, additional covers or additional fastenings must be used
⇒ The internal support blocks and mounting tape (if any) of the details are removed immediately before installation, if necessary
Electrical fire protection with sheet metal, manufacturing information
⇒ Gypsum board according to the customer’s wishes, the specified external (v) and internal dimensions (s) are used
⇒ PUR glue D4, 1-component, adheres well to the cut plaster edge, the customer can opt out of gluing
⇒ Fireproof sealant up to 1500°, for sealing joints inside the niche
⇒ The product is in a sheet metal casing, for screwing to the frame inside the wall
⇒ Tape to fix the shape of the product during gluing and transportation (if necessary)
