Inner circle in plasterboard ceiling

Inner circle made of plasterboard – a circular niche in the ceiling, which forms an arched recess in the ceiling plane. Leaves space inside the ceiling surface for a larger light fixture. The circle with cozy acoustics and lighting is designed to create a suitable environment for a two-story atrium. The dimensions and technical specifications of the circle are made according to the customer’s wishes

Features. The product has similar properties as drywall, except for the places that are machined and glued

Usage. The product is intended for use in rooms with a relative humidity of no more than 70%. The maximum installation temperature is 50°C. Normal room temperature is recommended for installation

Installation

⇒ The corresponding technical solutions have been provided by the construction project developer for installation on construction sites

⇒ It is recommended to install the product on a stone, frame, wood or plaster surface using a wooden or metal frame. If the shape of the product and the profile of the nearby surface allow it, the product can be properly attached to it

⇒ Due to its size, it is recommended to attach the product from all corners in a way that withstands exposure to external influences

Fixing. In thinner areas of the product (e.g. glued surfaces and gaps related to sawing and milling), it is recommended to use adhesive foam or adhesive sealant instead of a screw connection. The requirements for screwing the product are described in the plasterboard installation instructions. The product is attached to the frame at two levels: both from the lower and upper surfaces

Finishing. Similar to finishing drywall

Storage. Products must be stored upright and on a smooth surface. Protect products from moisture and damage

Transport

⇒ The product must be transported properly supported and carefully – high tensile pressure can cause the glued surface to come loose

⇒ If there is a risk that the product will be damaged during transport, additional covers or additional fastenings must be used

⇒ It is recommended to transport long parts in pairs and with two hands

⇒ The internal support blocks and mounting tape of the details are removed (if necessary) immediately before installation

Dimensions. The diameters of the ceiling circles shown in the pictures are less than 1.0m. The diameter of the circle is unlimited – for more than 1.3m, the product consists of several parts, the circle in the picture consists of two semi-arches. The transportability of the product and its parts to the installation site must be taken into account

⇒ The diameter of the ceiling niche and the division of the product into parts according to the external dimensions given by the customer

⇒ The bottom of the ceiling circle in the picture is lined with plasterboard, the product is mounted on a plywood board for the necessary rigidity and structural installation

⇒ Gypsum support elements are used inside the product to strengthen the glued arch surfaces

⇒ The walls of the circle are made of single-piece rolled plaster, on which is glued a painting fabric, thickness 13-15mm

⇒ The painting fabric is attached with masking tape to facilitate gluing and maintain the shape of the circle

⇒ PUR glue D4, 1-component, adheres well to the cut plaster edge

⇒ CNC-cut components and auxiliary parts to obtain the desired shape during gluing and transportation

⇒ Tape during gluing and transportation of the product for fixing components
