Acoustic wall Koiva with photo is a 3-part 2.5m x 3.0m surface covering with photo printing. The product consists of 2 wall panels (2.5 x 1.125m, 9.5kg) and 1 ceiling panel (2.5 x 0.75m, 8.0kg), which together form a very large photo panel. Good acoustics (sound absorption) is ensured by the 20mm thick Finnish peat mat inside the panels. Product dimensions and photo selection can be made according to wishes.

Properties. The product significantly dampens the echo spreading in the room and is also visually attractive. The greater the proportion of the total area of the walls and ceilings covered by the product, the better the sound insulation in the room
Usage. The product is intended for use in rooms with a normal relative humidity level – permanently no higher than 60%. Normal room temperature is recommended for installation
Installation and fastening
⇒ The product is light, therefore it is attached to walls and ceilings in the same way as wall paintings – using hanging loops, tamil or other methods
⇒ Hangers and cords can be attached to the product with screws from the back, up to 25mm from the edge of the frame (to the wooden frame inside the frame)
⇒ Due to its size, it is recommended to attach the product from all corners in a way that withstands exposure to external influences
Photo requirements. The higher the number of pixels in a nuanced photo, the better it can be processed into large sizes. Less nuanced photos (such as symbols) are easily resized
Sound insulation. A good result is achieved when the acoustic wall and ceiling cover at least two full areas of the room by 80%. Acoustic measurements of a 3x1m gypsum mini-room showed that the sound echo is up to 0.14 seconds, which, according to Akukon’s explanations, is less than is usually the case in bedrooms (0.5 seconds at low frequencies).
Storage. Products should be stored upright and on a smooth surface. Protect products from moisture.
Transport
⇒ The product must be carried with proper support and care – high tensile pressure can damage the panel.
⇒ If there is a risk that the product will be damaged during transport, additional covers or additional fastenings must be used
⇒ It is recommended to transport long parts in pairs and with two hands
⇒ The packaging and fastening tape are removed immediately before installation
Dimensions. The dimensions of one panel shown in the pictures are 1.125×2.5m. The maximum width of the panels can be up to 1.2m, the length of the panel is unlimited – the capabilities of the large format printer and the transportability of the panels to the installation site must be taken into account. The photo installation can consist of one or more panels.
