Adhesive support – shape holder

Glue support – shape holder. Drying supports, precisely cut out of plasterboard on a CNC machine, are designed for assembling more complex profiles – for example, making plasterboard arches or zigzags. The dimensions of the product, the cut-out contour and attachment points can be changed according to the customer’s wishes

Features. The product has similar properties as drywall, except for the places that are machined and glued

Usage. The product is intended for use in rooms with a relative humidity of no more than 70%. Maximum application temperature is 50°C

Gluing process

⇒ Tools required for gluing: glue, tape, clamps, weights for pressing, surface coating material

⇒ Attach the lower adhesive supports to the base vertically, preventing them from tipping over. The distance between the lower supports should be selected according to the material to be glued

⇒ Place the product to be glued on the lower support, exactly in the slot in it

⇒ Apply the glue either by rubbing it evenly or in a sufficiently dense pattern. Cover the glue with a surface covering if this is part of the work process. The surface above the adhesive supports can be left glue-free to facilitate the reuse of the adhesive support

⇒ Place the upper adhesive support in such a way that the product to be glued achieves the desired shape. Connect the upper and lower adhesive support at both ends with tape. You can use a clamp or weights – according to the physical forces generated when the glue dries

Finishing. Similar to finishing drywall

Storage. The product should be stored on a smooth surface, preferably on a pallet. Protect the boards from moisture

Edge. The surfaces of the plasterboard are covered with cardboard and the edge is cut straight (plaster, without paper coating)

Dimensions. The size of the product in the pictures is 0.3 x 0.4 m. The maximum height of the product can be up to 1.1 m – take into account the transportability to the installation site. The set can consist of one or more products.
