Model Gypsum 1 kg – Gypsum Powder Starter Kit. The kit includes two transparent plastic containers and a wooden stirring stick. With this starter kit, you can perform gypsum casting on a smaller scale – ideal for creating intricate details. Alabaster Model Gypsum is a very finely ground gypsum binder, specially selected from white gypsum stone. Suitable for restoration, conservation, and the production of cornices and decorative elements for indoor use. The product is also ideal for demanding tasks such as sculpture casting and applications in art, education, and research. Alabaster gypsum accurately reproduces shapes and details, features high surface hardness and compressive strength, and is easy to prepare – just add clean water.

Properties. The fine grain allows for a smooth surface on the finished casting according to the mold. High mechanical strength, low expansion, and easy to mix.

Usage. Alabaster gypsum is successfully used for making sculpture models, gypsum decorations, and industrial mold production. Also used as a binder for gypsum-based fillers.

Preparation. The dry mix should be poured evenly into a container with a measured amount of clean water, in a ratio of 0.5–0.6 liters of water per 1 kg of gypsum powder. Sprinkle the material up to the water line and let it soak; do not stir immediately. After soaking, mix by hand: briefly and intensely. Material that has already begun to set cannot be reused by adding water or re-mixing. Mix only the exact amount needed. Before mixing the next batch, clean the container thoroughly of any hardened residue, as it may shorten the setting time of the next mix.

Color. High degree of whiteness (color scale according to XYZ – Ry value ≥ 80).

Storage. The packaging must be stored closed on a level surface. Protect the packaging from moisture. Shelf life is 6 months from the date marked on the package.

Transport. Packages must be handled so that the surface is not damaged and does not come into contact with sharp objects.
