Moisture-Resistant Block MH80-0.85 – a water-repellent, high-strength gypsum block with a mirror-smooth surface, designed for non-load-bearing partition walls in wet areas such as home kitchens and bathrooms. By using moisture-resistant blocks, construction is no longer dependent on weather conditions – for example, interior finishing work can begin before the building’s exterior is fully closed, which significantly speeds up the construction process. Grooves on the block edges simplify installation, reinforce the wall, and improve both fire and sound resistance. Gypsum blocks do not require plastering – there is no need for additional surface leveling or soundproofing. Wall installation is straightforward and free from unnecessary complexity. Fixtures can be mounted directly to the walls using commercially available wall plugs. The slim 80 mm thick Multigips wall offers a significant advantage in floor space compared to other wall systems – resulting in higher sales or rental revenue due to increased usable area. Gypsum wall blocks are sold by full pallets – one pallet contains 30 blocks (10 m²).
Usage. For the construction of non-load-bearing partition walls, including walls with fire resistance class EI120 and excellent sound insulation. No plastering is required. There is no need for internal support posts or recesses, and cross-beams for heavy loads are not necessary.
Material consumption. Based on the manufacturer’s long-term experience with standard wall construction. Quantities are calculated according to a full truck load (FTL) – max 33 pallets / up to 24 tons.
⇒ Total wall area: 300 m²
⇒ M80/MH80 gypsum blocks: 30 pallets, 900 blocks
⇒ Gypsum adhesive SuperWeiss 200 (25 kg): 24 bags, 600 kg
⇒ Joint filler FG 70 (25 kg): 24 bags, 600 kg
⇒ Joint tape AkustikPro 120-3 (25 m/roll): 4 boxes, 16 rolls, 400 m
⇒ Installation speed: 30 m² / installer / day → ~90 blocks per day
Block dimensions. Width: 666 mm. Height: 500 mm. Thickness: 80 mm
Color. Bluish
Fire resistance & density. The high material density ensures fire resistance up to EI120. Denser than most gypsum boards, the product’s density is comparable to 7 layers of 12.5 mm fire-rated gypsum board, while being 10 mm thinner overall
Durability. The gypsum blocks are solid, non-load-bearing construction elements made from calcium sulfate and water, used for creating rooms in both residential and non-residential buildings. The resulting walls are as strong as masonry, but with the construction speed and simplicity of drywalls—only the joints are filled
Water resistance. The blocks contain water-repellent additives, ensuring that cutting or drilling does not affect the material properties. The color remains unchanged after processing
On-site transport. Easy to transport during installation – blocks can be moved close to the installation area using wheeled pallets
Edges. Two sides with grooves, two sides with tongue edges
Pallet information: 2 bundles per pallet, 30 blocks total, covers 10 m². Pallet weight: approx. 720 kg
