Self-expanding PU seal, self-adhesive – compressed in a roll, expands several times in thickness, permanently elastic, airtight, strong self-adhesive polyurethane seal on one side. Suitable for sealing and insulating joints of various building structures, including window and door openings, facade joints and cracks (joints between concrete elements), special profile roof coverings and structures and other uneven and uneven building surfaces for noise, vibration, air, heat and moisture insulation. Also for sealing cable penetrations and in log house construction in corner structures and between logs and in window and door openings instead of sealing foams. Installation:
⇒ Surfaces to be sealed/connected must be clean, dry, and square
⇒ It is recommended to select the seal dimensions according to the data provided below to achieve the required joint tightness. Possible structural displacements should also be taken into account
⇒ 2-4mm joints – 12mm thick seals (expanded)
⇒ 3-4mm joints – 15mm thick seals (expanded)
⇒ 3-7mm joints – 20mm thick seals (expanded)
⇒ 5-10mm joints – 25-30mm thick seals (expanded
⇒ 7-12mm joints – 40mm thick gaskets (expanded)
⇒ The gasket must be cut approximately 1cm per meter longer than the joint length, do not use the first and last 1cm of the gasket roll (they must be cut from the end)
⇒ Remove the protective paper from the gasket adhesive and install the gasket on the best possible surface, if necessary, you can use a putty knife to ensure that the gasket is well attached
⇒ The gasket is installed approximately 2-3 mm from the leading edge of the joint
⇒ Do not install/stuff the gasket in corners, but cut the gasket through in the corners and press the ends together at right angles, the remaining part is pressed into the corner
⇒ When continuing the seal, the ends must be pressed together; overlapping of seals should be avoided
⇒ The ideal installation temperature is between +5 and +30 °C. Store the gasket at room temperature
⇒ Do not clean with pressure or strongly acidic solutions!
⇒ At lower temperatures, a hot air gun can be used after installation if necessary to accelerate (too) slow expansion
