Acoustic panel 2.4m, made of peat moss – acoustic sound-absorbing panel made of pressed peat moss, unpainted and uncut. The peat mat produced in Finland has excellent sound absorption properties. When a room echoes, it means that sounds (speech, music, machines, footsteps, etc.) bounce around in the room before they fade into inaudibility. If this time is too long, we perceive it as an echo, noise or stress. The acoustic panel absorbs the sound waves that hit it, prevents the sound energy from bouncing and accelerates the sound attenuation in the room – shortens the reverberation time. Konto acoustic panels are available in thicknesses – 20, 30, 40 and 50 mm. At the customer’s request, we cut the panels to the appropriate size and cover them with a paint coating or other coating (e.g. photo fabric)
Use to reduce sound absorption in rooms
⇒ Ceiling mounting using hangers
⇒ Ceiling mounting using a suspended ceiling system
⇒ Adhesive for wall and ceiling surfaces
⇒ Mounting on various surfaces with suitable double-sided tape
⇒ Kattekanga taha kinnitamina⇒ Mounting behind the covering fabric, it is recommended to leave a gap between the light covering fabric and the peat mat to avoid shadowse, soovitatav on jätta vahe heleda kattekanga ja turbamati vahele, et vältida varjude tekkimist
⇒ Hanging using cords and eyelets
Panel size. Width 1200mm, length 2400mm. Thickness 20mm, 30mm, 40mm, 50mm
Color: dark gray, after finishing, paint coating according to the customer’s request
Odor. The product is an M1 construction material. After installation, it does not emit particles or odours into the room air. NB! During installation, it is recommended to touch the cut surfaces or seal them with a hot iron
Cutting. The product is easy to cut to size with a sharp knife (see. carpet knife). During cutting, it is not recommended to lean on the panel or place heavy objects on it that will compress the panel
Sound insulation. A good result is achieved when the acoustic wall and ceiling cover at least two full areas of the room by 80%. Acoustic measurements of a 3x1m gypsum mini-room showed that the sound echo is up to 0.14 seconds, which, according to Akukon’s explanations, is less than is usually the case in bedrooms (0.5 seconds at low frequencies)
Storage: The boards must be stored on a smooth surface, preferably on a pallet. Protect the boards from moisture
Transport
⇒ The product must be carried with proper support and care – high tensile pressure can damage the panel
⇒ If there is a risk that the product will be damaged during transport, additional covers or additional fastenings must be used
⇒ It is recommended to transport long parts in pairs and with two hands
⇒ The packaging and fastening tape are removed immediately before installation
Quantity on pallet: 25 peat slabs, total area 72 m², total weight of the pallet 130 kg (20mm thick panels)
